Tour de Nock 2012

This year's Tour de Nock was bigger and better than ever!

Run and Ride's Tour de Nock this year proved to be a huge success. In total 265 riders took part in riding either the 15, 45 or 60 mile routes. Many miles were clocked up in and around the Cannock Chase area. Things started off easy in Heath Hayes, but as the miles ticked by the riders took in the sites of Gentleshaw, Fradley, Alrewas, Barton-Under-Needwood, Abbots Bromley, Hixson, Brocton, Milford and Rugeley. Needless to say there were a few hills included, with Stile Cop proving to be something of a 'favourite' only a few miles from home.

This year's proceeds were generously donated to local charity, The Hibbs Lupus Trust, who are headed by local Hednesford resident John Hibbs. Together with sponsorship raised by Cannock Chase MP, Aidan Burley, we generated the impressive figure of £1,744.94 (£1317.44 of which was donated by general registered riders).

We'd like to offer a huge thank you to all that took part, whether you rode your bike, helped out on the day or just sponsored Aidan. We a owe you all a debt of gratitude and look forward to seeing you again at our next Reliability Trial.
